The Honor Ministry of University Baptist Church involves 16 people have made a committment to extend the love of the church to the senior adults in our congregation who are less able to gather on Sunday mornings because of health concerns or transportation issues. The ministry seeks to work in teams to provide.
Hear. Listen to their stories, wisdom, concerns and prayer requests.
Offer. Volunteer prayer, Scripture, communion, sermons, bulletins, a ride, sitting with honoree while caregiver runs errands, goes to church, takes a break.
News. Share prayer requests from the church, joyful news, celebrations, updates.
Observe. Acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and concerns that need to be shared with caregivers.
Reflect. Give appreciation for wisdom, legacy, faith and service.
